ProGuard® City
Safe city
The patented and design-protected ProGuard City is a smarter alternative to traditional temporary traffic barriers for work zones where flexibility and rapid repositioning are essential. ProGuard City is also compatible with parts from the GC series. The barrier is tested according to EN1317-2 in capacity class T2, which is the minimum requirement on roads operated by the Swedish Transport Administration and in most municipalities.
Light and flexible
Weighing 416 kg and allowing angles over 90°, City stands out for flexibility and handling combined with safety. The barrier stands on rubber feet for maximum friction and can be handled with forks, slings or a lifting yoke.
Compatible with ProGuard GC
The ProGuard City barrier’s link is designed to create a smooth transition between City barriers and GC rails where safety requirements change along a stretch. This enables a continuous closure without hazardous gaps. Where higher protection is needed, GC rails can be mounted on top.
Tough outside and in
A steel shell filled with concrete increases durability and capacity. The mesh at the top provides good visibility at corners.
Unique connecting beam
On straight runs where extra stability is required, the built-in connecting beam can be slid by hand between two barriers to create a fixed connection that stiffens the installation. A “click” function ensures the beam is seated correctly every time.

FAQ
Is ProGuard City a Temporary Traffic Barrier?
ProGuard City is a vehicle restraint barrier tested to EN 1317, containment class T2. It therefore provides a significantly higher level of protection than traditional temporary traffic barriers.
Is ProGuard City approved for use in urban environments?
Yes.
Is a T1 containment class sufficient for use on municipal roads?
In the majority of Swedish municipalities, a minimum T2 containment class is required.
Are any additional components required to connect the barriers?
No, everything is integrated into the barriers themselves. No loose components are required for installation or connection.
What is the minimum curve radius that the ProGuard City Barrier can accommodate?
Has it been tested at 30 km/h?
How much can it be angled?
Yes. Using the angle beam, the barriers can be angled up to ±90°.
What is the minimum installation length required?
The minimum installation length is 36 metres, or 14 barriers.
Is the barrier tested in 30 km/h?
The barrier has been simulated in a 30 km/h impact test, where it achieves a working width classification of W2.
